This workshop will bring together international and Australian researchers to advance mathematical and computational methods for modelling and inference in cellular systems. The program is motivated by the growing need for rigorous mathematical frameworks to understand the complexity of life at the cellular level — problems which are at the heart of MACSYS’s research goals. We also hope to use this opportunity to strengthen collaborative ties between the mathematical biology community industry partners.

The program is designed to foster interdisciplinary collaboration. It will be problem-focussed with short research talks followed by collaborative sessions to work on real problems in mathematical and systems biology proposed by MACSYS members and partners. MACSYS aims for the workshop to spark new collaborative relationships and kickstart exciting new collaborative research projects.

This MATRIX Research Program is partially supported by AMSI and AustMS through the AMSI-AustMS Workshop Funding program.
