The Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (AMSI) and its partners, the Mathematical Association of Victoria (MAV) and The Victorian YMCA (The Y) will deliver 24 maths camps for Victorian government school students from 2026 to 2028.

The free Camps will provide access to mathematics enrichment opportunities for high-ability students in years 9 and 10, from across Victoria.

Join us at our first Camp at Lake Dewar in Myrniong Victoria from July 6–10, 2026

Students will:

• spend 5 days and 4 nights at one of the exciting and picturesque Y Discovery Camps around Victoria
• learn from and problem-solve with leading Victorian and national experts, including maths teachers, maths academics and industry professionals
• have the opportunity to develop and extend their skills in mathematical problem solving, communication, analysis and reasoning through workshops and interactive activities
• meet and spend time with students from around Victoria who have similar interests and passions
• participate in camp activities such as orienteering, frisbee golf, geocaching, low ropes, hut building, flying fox, adventure tunnelling, bush walking and much more!
