Event Details
- Dates: 17 June 2026 - 19 June 2026
- Venue: The University of Sydney
- Categories: Scientific Workshop
Description:
The event will bring together leading dynamicists and number theorists from both Australia and overseas to explore recent advances at the intersection of their fields. The conference will highlight cutting-edge developments in Diophantine approximation, homogeneous dynamics, and algebraic dynamical systems—areas that have seen rapid progress through deep conceptual interplay. It will also showcase the impact of modern dynamical methods on longstanding problems in analytic number theory and Ramsey theory. By creating a platform for active exchange, the event will foster new collaborations and expose Australian researchers and students to powerful tools and perspectives shaping the future of these mathematical disciplines.
This Research Program is partially supported by AMSI and AustMS through the AMSI-AustMS Workshop Funding program, and benefits from the SMRI International Visitor Program.
