Join Professor Andrew Hassell (The Australian National University) on Monday 15 January. This presentation investigates scattering theory in mathematics and how it is used to study complex interactions by focusing on the “before” and “after” states, without worrying too much about the “in-between”, which is usually much harder to understand. Prof. Hassell will start with simple examples and (aspirationally) work up to some examples of recent research interest. Watch it live online or attend in-person at The Australian National University. Light refreshments will be provided.
