12th International Conference on Teaching Statistics (ICOTS 12)

The International Conference on Teaching Statistics (ICOTS) is the most important event in the statistics and data education calendar, and for the first time, it will be held in Australia. In this world of AI, open data, data warehouses, uncertainty and misinformation, stats and data education is critical for all citizens, as well as future statisticians and data scientists, their clients, collaborators or statistical repudiators. The rich ICOTS 12 programme will feature keynotes, presentations, panels and debates relevant across school, tertiary and workplaces on cutting edge educational developments. Topics will incorporate AI, simulation, visualisation, open data, and ethics in diverse contexts of importance to all, including health, life sciences, climate, policy, social justice, media, engineering. The event will also focus on school level developments, teacher pre-service and in-service training.
