From Dr Adelle Howse; Chair of the AMSI Board
I am delighted to announce the appointment of Professor Asha Rao as Interim Director commencing 18 August 2020.
Asha is well known to many of the AMSI community and serves as the Full Member representative for RMIT and is currently Professor and Associate Dean of Mathematical Sciences with the School of Science at RMIT University. We are extremely grateful that Asha will take part-time leave from her important responsibilities to provide leadership and direction for AMSI at this critical time, as we continue the process to appoint the AMSI Director.
Asha has an extensive network of contacts in both the mathematical sciences community and industry and brings a strong track-record in advocacy for mathematics. Along with her passion for high-achieving teams and extensive credentials in mathematics sciences, we can be certain that Asha will inject significant new energy and ideas into AMSI to help set us up for future success.
