This comprehensive hands-on workshop, the first of its kind, is part of a nation-wide initiative to establish a platform and network through which common best practice in engagement and teaching in first year tertiary mathematics and statistics education can be researched, developed and disseminated. Activities include
- Plenaries by leaders in their fields, at the forefront of interactions between innovative contemporary mathematics and curriculum renewal;
- Research talks, workshops and round-table discussions on issues of national importance, led by Australia’s finest tertiary mathematics educators and researchers in mathematics education;
- Dynamic question and answer sessions involving students, practitioners, the audience, innovators and policy makers.
