Congratulations to Australia’s 2017 Simon Marais Mathematics Competition winners, including a number of AMSI members. Among those to take a share in the $100,000 AUD prize money were the University of Melbourne, the University of Sydney, University of Wollongong, University of Western Australia and Monash University. A first for the Asia-Pacific region, this year’s competition attracted 459 entrants with all offered the chance to apply for internships at Woodside Energy. The next competition will take place in October 2018.
