Victoria’s new year 12 mathematics subject, designed to boost the number of senior students studying maths, won’t be taught for two more years because of COVID-19.
The Age’s Madeleine Heffernan includes AMSI Director, Professor Tim Marchant’s commentary on the importance of the new subject and a new Victorian policy of paying for about 270 secondary teachers who are already teaching maths and science to undertake a graduate certificate in those fields.
