Cairns Regional Council in collaboration with James Cook University and CSIRO is offering a great opportunity to work on addressing the challenge of Urban Heat in Cairns while being paid to gain a PhD and being part of an exciting new NextGen program looking at tackling real world challenges with foundational skills in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
This is scholarship with great benefits including: paid university fees, a generous annual payment (tax free), with training and travel, and conferences funded through the program. The successful applicant will be required to work with council for 6 months (or 1-2 days a week) over the period of the PhD.
