The School of Mathematics at Monash University invites applications for the position of a Research Fellow who will contribute to the School’s research efforts in combinatorics. This role involves working on a project concerning fractional edge decompositions of graphs, addressing well-studied open problems, and exploring related variants and special cases.The project is led by Daniel Horsley (Monash), Darryn Bryant, Barbara Maenhaut (University of Queensland), and Peter Dukes (University of Victoria).

If you hold a Doctoral degree in Mathematics or a closely related field and can demonstrate the below, we look forward to seeing your application.

–  A strong background in edge decomposition of graphs, fractional structures in graphs, or closely related areas
–  The ability to solve complex mathematical problems
–  Analytical and manuscript preparation skills; including a track record of refereed research publications
