Academic Level B – $135,528 to $159,922 p.a., (comprising Salary of $114,523 to $135,230 p.a., plus 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading).

Western Sydney University demonstrated its commitment to foundational science establishing the Centre for Research in Mathematics and Data Science in 2013. Several researchers in the centre have won ARC Discovery Project or Future Fellowship grants, and the centre has become a venue for international AMSI workshops and conferences in pure mathematics. Mathematics has been consistently ranked above world standard in ERA; in ERA 2018, the fields Mathematics (FoR 01), Pure Mathematics (FoR 0101) and Applied Mathematics (FoR 0102) each received a ranking of 4 out of 5.
The successful applicant is expected to be developing a strong international standing and research reputation, have an excellent research background in mathematics, have a demonstrated track record of publication of high-quality papers in top journals in the field, and the capacity to undertake independent research. The position is based at the Campbelltown Campus.
