Dr Ron Sandland, Chair of the AMSI Board, and the AMSI Director Professor Geoff Prince offer their thanks to Professor Neil Trudinger (Australian National University), Professor Nalini Joshi (University of Sydney) and Professor Frances Kirwan (University of Oxford) for their invaluable contribution during their time on AMSI’s Scientific Advisory Committee, from which they stepped down in early 2014.
One of their roles as members of the committee is to ensure that AMSI sponsors events of a high standard that delivers national benefit to Australia, in-keeping with AMSI’s mission. AMSI has supported more than 210 workshops and brought more than 280 international mathematical scientists to Australia.
Dr Sandland and Professor Prince welcome new members to the committee: Professor Ben Andrews (Australian National University), Professor Kate Smith-Miles (Monash University), and Dr Frances Kuo (University of New South Wales).
