A new report has warned that Australia’s international position for school-based mathematics has seen a significant decline.
The Discipline Profile of the Mathematical Sciences 2014 highlights some key concerns, including the lack of qualified maths teachers, a huge drop off in the number of students undertaking maths, and a lack of girls studying the subject.
