In Jobs in the Mathematical Sciences
The School of Mathematics at Monash University invites applicants for the position of Research Fellow to work on Dynamical Systems. The Dynamical Systems group is expanding and is currently looking to hire three new Research Fellows. Applicants must have a PhD in Mathematics or a related field. It is also expected that they have a sound knowledge and experience in Dynamical Systems research.

The Research Fellows will work on computational and theoretical aspects of Dynamical Systems, in particular problems related to hyperbolic dynamics, blenders, the n-body problem, and Hilbert’s 16th problem. Candidates with a background in complex dynamics are also welcome to apply.

The research is partially supported by the Australian Research Council through the Discovery Project (DP220100492 – Computer-aided proofs for non-hyperbolic dynamics and blenders) with investigators Lorenzo Diaz (PUC-Rio, Brazil), Andy Hammerlindl (Monash), Katsutoshi Shinohara (Hitotsubashi University, Japan), and Warwick Tucker (Monash).
