Data Analyst – Registry Science and Research

  • Full-time or part-time position
  • 12 month contract in the first instance
  • HS3
  • Based at 553 St Kilda Road, Melbourne
  • Be a part of the Monash and Alfred research program

 

THE ROLE

This position will be based in the Registry Science and Research Unit of the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Monash University. The Data Analyst will contribute to the following activities:

  • Undertake statistical analysis on registry datasets to produce annual, site, and ad-hoc reports for a range of stakeholders
  • Advance existing registry analysis methodology on activities such as risk adjustment, device performance, and patient-derived longitudinal outcomes
  • Present registry data in a meaningful way for clinicians, registry funders and broader stakeholders to interpret
  • Support research related analysis of registry data for publications and presentations
  • Support the delivery of training courses and workshops regarding registry data analysis

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  •  A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field with several years working experience, preferably in the field of public health, or a Master’s in Public Health degree or a Master’s degree in a related quantitative field.
  • Experience in generating reports/ publications
  • High-level analysis skills; familiarity with Stata and/or R program is desirable
  • Experience in data visualisation/data presentation
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team
  • Well-developed planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and set and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written communication and verbal communication skills with proven ability to produce clear, succinct reports and documents
