Biostatistician – Stats Central (UNSW Sydney) and Neuroscience Research Australia (NeuRA)

You will provide statistical consulting services to researchers; develop and run regular professional development workshops; offer statistical support during grant writing; outreach to consultants around campus; and document activities for both UNSW and NeuRA researchers.
The position will be jointly in Stats Central and NeuRA. Stats Central is a team of eight professionally accredited consultants based at UNSW in the Mark Wainwright Analytical Centre in the Division of Research, a centralised unit that manages major research infrastructure at UNSW and provides relevant technical and consulting expertise. The establishment in 2016 of Stats Central within the Analytical Centre expanded its core operations to offer UNSW researchers support in study design and analysis, as part of the university’s 2025 Strategy. Neuroscience Research Australia (NeuRA) is an independent, not-for-profit research institute affiliated with UNSW Sydney. As a leader in brain and nervous system research, NeuRA’s goal is to prevent, treat and cure brain and nervous system diseases, disorders and injuries through medical research.
About the successful applicant:
You have a PhD in Applied Statistics and substantial data design and analysis experience and can demonstrate your advanced statistics and research design skills. For further details go to:
