The primary purpose of this position is to contribute to the teaching and research activities in the field of Biostatistics in the School and the University; to work with the Head of School and the Head of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, as well as other staff members in the School to develop and implement the School’s strategic plan; to contribute to the development of teaching and learning materials and methods; and to engage in the building and maintenance of research programs in Biostatistics.

Applicants should possess a Research Doctorate (PhD) in Biostatistics or applied statistics, coupled with knowledge of theory and practice of biostatistics in observational epidemiology and intervention studies. The applicant will have proven track record in the initiation of research projects, the ability to publish high quality papers, prepare successful applications for research and develop and deliver courses in biostatistics will make you successful in this varied and challenging role. Remuneration

This is a full-time, fixed term appointment for four years at Academic Level C or D. The remuneration package will be in the below ranges, plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (included in the total package figures below).

  • Level C will be in the range $112,874 – $130,150 p.a., (total package will be in the range $132,063 – $152,276 p.a.);
  • Level D will be in the range $135,909 – $149,731 p.a., (total package will be in the range $159,014 – $175,185 p.a.).
