SSS similarity test
The SSS similarity test: If we can match up the sides of one triangle with the sides of another so that the ratios of matching sides are equal, then the two triangles are similar.
Example 2
Prove that \(\triangle ABC\) is similar to \(\triangle DEC\).
Solution
In the triangles \(ABC\) and \(DEC\)
\begin{align}AB = 2 × DE\\ BC = 2 × CE\\ AC = 2 × CD\end{align} So \(\triangle ABC\) is similar to \(\triangle DEC\)(SSS similarity test).
