A flea can jump up to 200 times its body length.
The body length of the flea is 2.5 mm.
What is the furthest distance the flea can jump?
Solution
The body length of the flea is 2.50 mm.
The flea can jump 200 times this length.
200 × 2.5 | = 2 × 2.5 × 100 |
= 5 × 100 | |
= 500. |
Therefore the furthest distance the flea can jump is 500 mm.
