AMSI Director, Professor Prince has called for intermediate mathematics to be compulsory for Year 12 students hoping to enroll in science, engineering or commerce university degrees. Professor Prince spoke to Fairfax Media as Federal Minister for Education Simon Birmingham launched the Australian Academy of Science’s ten-year blue print to strengthen Australian maths, The Mathematical Sciences in Australia: A Vision for 2025.
